My experience with Spark Lan PCI cards was simply not a good one.

I purchased two sparklan PCI cards when I first bought wireless gear. They were deaf as a post, and fickle to install, with poor documentation on the Sparklan website.

The two cards still gather dust in my cupboard.

I'm not sure whether PCI cards in general have poor performance or not, but these ones certainly did. A far better option is to use an access point like a Linksys or a Minitar instead.
