How to Block Unwanted Internet AdvertisingI hate advertising in my face everywhere I go. I hate it delivered to my letterbox, I hate it being printed on newspaper and thrown in my driveway, I hate it invading my telephone and of course I hate it on the internet. Most of it I can't stop, but I can stop the internet advertising, and so I have. For me, those annoying popups and advertisements are a thing of the past because I simply block them at my Router. Most advertising on the internet comes from just a few sources or agencies. Once you know who these agencies are, you are able to block them as most routers have the ability to ban sites - often in the kiddie filter bit. I use IP Cop as my gateway/router, and have installed URL filter on it to allow site blocking. Below is my advertising block list for your information, I hope it is helpful - it has been developed by a few people over time.
